Want to earn a little extra money this summer and you’re staying in the area? Well, what better way to do so than by getting a job on campus, this summer! We know that a summer job may sound daunting and time-consuming, but there are plenty of good things that can come from it and we’re here to tell you why. So let’s make this summer a great addition to your resume and check out the jobs being offered!


STUDENT CENTER

If you are looking for an on campus summer job, here is another great opportunity for you! Apply to be a Summer Conference Assistant with starting pay at $18.75. There are some different positions open; Event Operations, Cellars Information Desk, and Housekeeping.  

You should work here if:

  • You enjoy attending and setting up events!

  • You like greeting people and have great costumer service!

  • You enjoy making people’s day!

Apply through Handshake or pick up and drop off an application at the Info + Tickets desk on the first floor of the Student Center. 


CULINARY SERVICES

Do you find yourself spending time in the kitchen? Well, you’re luck because Culinary Services is currently hiring for summer positions! You can choose to work anywhere from 10 to 40 hours a week at $18.75 per hour as of June 1. Some available positions include Cashiers, Chef’s Assistants, Dishwashers, Bakers, and Bussers. 

You should work here if:

  • You LOVE food!

  • You want a fun job where you can learn great skills! 

  • You pride yourself in providing excellent customer service.

  • You enjoy talking and working with both students and full time staff.


Super Kids Camp Counselors

Have experience working with kids or want to gain experience as a leader? Campus Recreation is hiring counselors for Super Kids Camp this summer! As a counselor, you could have the chance to provide program and youth support for the Campus Rec, and assist with leading and implementing programs and experiences for youth in a group setting. This position will run from June 3 through August 2, Monday through Friday, working 30 to 40 hours per week at $17 per hour.

You should work here if:

  • You love working with or have experience working with youth ages 5 to 11.

  • You enjoy camp-style settings!

  • You want a fun job that will keep you on your toes!


University Advancement

University Advancement Higher Education is currently hiring for a summer Student Assistant Reception position, with opportunities to continue working for Advancement during the school year! You would be responsible for welcoming and greeting callers, visitors, and guests to the suite. As well as light office work at times, such as sorting and distributing mail, organizing and stocking supplies, and more! This is a great opportunity you won’t want to miss! You can work up to 40 hours per week at $17-$18 per hour! 

You should work here if:

  • You are great with customer service and attention to detail. 

  • You have basic knowledge of Word Processing and Spreadsheets.

  • You are reliable with good communication skills including verbal, non-verbal, and written.

 
 

Green Music Center

The Green Music Center Front of House at Sonoma State University is hiring for a summer Usher/Ticket Taker! Ushers are the host and hostesses for the GMC, welcoming guests to events at Weill Hall and Schroeder Hall. Not only will you be greeting guests, but also collecting tickets, and directing people to their seats, concessions, or restrooms. Enjoy the beauty of the GMC as well as meeting new people, this summer!

You should work here if: 

  • You love the GMC <3

  • You like being social!

  • You like greeting people and maybe starting conversations.

  • You enjoy going to or working live events!
